Since Halloween is right around the corner, I figured we would do another Halloween inspired craft today. This one is easy and only requires a few items (most of which you probably already have at home) and a little creativity!
I was looking through my craft tote today and was wondering what we could do that was Halloweenie (that is a word right?!?) After much deliberation, I decided on this fun, easy, and might I add SUPER cute craft!!
What you'll need:
- Foam Cups
- Paint
- Fuzzy Sticks (Pipe Cleaners)
- Google eyes
- Hot Glue
First, paint your cups whatever color you want. We did 3 different ones today, a spider, a pumpkin, and Frankenstein.
Once painted, let them dry for an hour or so.
Once they're dry, decorate the faces. We used google eyes on the spider and Frankenstein. Then we painted the rest of the features. You can do this part however you'd like. You can make them silly, scary or down right CRAZY! We went the more traditional route, but feel free to let the kiddos go to town on what they think the character should look like! We used pipe cleaners for the legs on the spider. I just cut them in half then bent them to have a bend in the leg and a foot.
Here's how they turned out! Cute huh?!
These little crafts make wonderful surprises for Grandmas and Grandpas and Aunts and Uncles. These little treasures are definitely keepsakes that I love putting on display!
Happy Crafting
